Vineyard

The Damali vineyard was planted in 2006 and had it's first crop of Castel Grapes in the fall of 2009.  Since then four new varieties of grape have been planted.

In October 2010 Damali received approval for a winery license and completed the conversion of the original barn on the property into a winery and a vinegary. The first artisan wine vinegars were introduced in April 2010 with Damali wines following in the Spring of 2011.

Damali now also grows cultivated blackberries, raspberries and rhubarb for the purpose of winemakeing.

All Damali wines and wine vinegars are made with fruit grown in the Cowichan region, and some incorporate herbs and lavender grown on the farm.
